Hugo Lamprechts Music Centre was inaugurated in 1986 It is located in the oldest school building in the Northern Suburbs, where the Victorian atmosphere and graceful courtyards enhance the music making which takes place here daily.

- Parow Golf Club
is probably the most easily reached golf course in Cape Town being very central and just off the N1 main Highway. The course was designated by Ken Elkin in 1976 - Ajax Soccer Club
Is part of Cape Town since 1968 and the club in Parow was formed in 1999. - Tygerberg Athletic Club
This club has a history of producing athletes as well as catering for the novice and beginner runner. They are situated off De Grendal Road, Parow North.

Is a non-profitable Organization. They utilize voluntary helpers who prepare and deliver nourishing meals to the disadvantaged elderly in the comfort of their own homes. Currently there are more than 79 branches throughout South-Africa. of which one is situated at 30 Weimar Street, Parow

Parow Centre, N1 City Mall, Tyger Valley Shopping Centre , Canal Walk Shopping Centre. All the above is between 2-8km from the heart of Parow. Thus easily accessible. Parow is approximately 10-15 minutes from Cape Town and 15 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.
